Socialist/progressive/statists held a 'Rochester Area for Change' fundraiser (in which they lost money on) honoring U.S. Congressman Gary Peters yesterday in Rochester Hills. Somewhere between 10-12 people attended paying $10 per person. The venue rents for $150 according to a resident of the apartment complex in which it is located.
Freedom/liberty loving patriots held a hugely attended 'tea party' protest at the entrance of the venue. On-site estimates placed the rally somewhere between 400-500 people. Residents are furious that Peters is tone-deaf on what the voters of his district actually want: No federal government takeover of the healthcare system in our country, no new federal entitlement program that will financially enslave or future generations, no forcing the entire nation to pay for other people's abortions, no restricting our rights/privacy/choices within healthcare & no federal government telling Americans to buy insurance or penalizing them via criminal law for keeping their personal affairs (healtchare choices/lack of choice) private. Residents from as far away as Farmington Hills & Waterford attended the tea party event to urge Peters to simply vote NO!
Gary: Will you finally listen?

I'm so glad you had such a terrific turnout. I was wrapped up with realtors and appraisers. As for your question to Gary he will vote no. He has voted 99 percent of the time with Pelosi. He's her puppet.
ReplyDeleteGlenn, Glenn, Glenn. Lies, lies and more lies.
ReplyDeleteThe event was a small event, just for Rochester Area for Change. It was NOT a fundraiser. The $10 was just to cover the cost of food.
There were over 50 people in attendance, which maxed out the facility and everyone was extremely enthusiastic in support of Congressman Peters.
You only had 150-200 people, not 400-500. I have pictures.
Gary is listening, thank you very much, to the constituents that desperately need health care reform.
