Harry Reid to Bring Repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Tomorrow!
Please call your U.S. Senators (you have two) office today and tell them to vote NO on Senator Harry Reid's effort to repeal the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Congressional policy re: homosexuals in the U.S. Military. The armed forces should not be a social experiement for Nancy Pelosi & her San Fransisco liberal buddies!

Take Action! Stop the Last Ditch Union Power Grab
The last few days have been fast and furious in Lansing and there are people trying hard to take your money. Your thousands of emails during our June Action Alert killed Senate Bill 1072…but only temporarily. This is likely the last Action Alert of the year, please make it count and finish off SB 1072 forever.
In the waning lame-duck hours of liberal power, there is a huge push to bring this back and pass SB 1072. The Michigan House of Representatives and State Senate are likely to vote on this budget busting bill today! Your state legislators need to hear from taxpayers like you now to avoid a massive waste of your tax dollars.
In its current form, SB 1072, supposedly a reform of binding arbitration that has been strangling local governments for 40 years, will actually expand union boss power. It will expand binding arbitration to local authorities, school districts and boards and do nothing to reform arbitration in cities and townships. Sadly, the bill’s sponsor is Republican Sen. Randy Richardville, who has put nothing regarding a local government’s ability to pay for outrageous arbitration awards in the bill. Is it any wonder unions support this so-called labor “reform”?
Today AFP-MI learned that, instead of expanding compulsory union arbitration to all local public servants, the new SB 1072 will simply expand it to most local government employees. We’re only two weeks away from swearing-in the new, fiscally conservative legislature you worked so hard to elect. Union bosses know that Wednesday –TODAY – may be their last chance!
E-mails from just two or three constituents can be more influential than all the union lobbyists who are pressuring your legislator. Take action by clicking here to write your state legislators.
Sincerely,
